Many will see my Aspie sons and say,
"Poor mother...
she has to deal with two special needs sons."
But I choose to say,
"Poor people,
they will never enjoy seeing the world
through my sons' innocent and honest eyes."
Some will say of trying to work with my Aspie sons,
"Why do I have to do this?
I am not really accomplishing anything."
But I choose to say,
"Spend some time with them and
you will hear God speaking through them."
A handful will say,
"Why must we listen to their nonsense?"
But I choose to say,
"You boys bring smiles to my face everyday!"
A few may ask,
"How can I understand your Aspie sons?"
I answer,
"Listen to your heart speak the truth of love
and you will understand them."
One may question,
"How should I speak to or act with them?"
I say,
"With honesty & respect...
for their wisdom can be deeper
than the greatest ocean..
and you will see yourself
in the reflection of that water."
From my vantage point....
I choose to see my sons...
