Faith and Fall

I have ALWAYS LOVED fall!!!!
Many of the trivial trials of yesterday are swept away in the freshness of fall.
The crisp air feels so grand..it makes you believe that anything is possible!
Fall even seems to restore my faith.....

At church today, our first scripture reading was taken from the book of Habakkuk. This reading spoke of faith in the face of adversity.

"Why do you let me see ruin; why must I look at misery? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and clamorous discord. Then the LORD answered me and said: Write down the vision clearly upon the tablets, so that one can read it readily. For the vision still has its time, presses on to fulfillment, and will not disappoint; if it delays, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not be late. The rash one has no integrity; but the just one, because of his faith, shall live."

We, as Aspie parents, have seen ruin. We have looked with misery at the destruction of our children....whether by deed or lack there of.  We have prayed that our children would be helped...would be healed...would not be hurt. What parent has not asked God for these things for their children? We have written upon our hearts what it would look like if our children were accepted for who God made them to be...who they could be with a helping hand from those around them...even who they could be with simple understanding.

But we must not loose FAITH.
For it is through that FATIH we see that our TIME is not GOD'S TIME.
"For the vision still has its time, presses on to fulfillment, and will not disappoint; if it delays, wait for it, it will surely come, it will not be late."

He has a plan for these incredible and special creations. HE MADE THEM FOR A REASON...and HIS plan is impossible for us to comprehend.

As in days of old, when the BREATH OF GOD was represented with the flowing of the wind...the cool and refreshing winds of fall wash over our souls...loosening the tensions of wariness...of doubt...of misgiving.

We must have FAITH that our children ARE children of God...and in his eyes, they are who HE needs them to be. Because...
"..the just one, because of his faith, shall live."
And we are blessed by that life...like a kiss from a cool breeze of fall.
