Humor & Irony

Just two short snippets of Aspie stories today.....
First....
I had a killer headache the other day. It started in my shoulder, ran up my neck and around to my jaw (I have TMJ). My oldest Aspie son was trying to make me feel better by rubbing my shoulder. I said, "I just wish your 2 brothers would be quiet." He then YELLED AT THE TOP OF HIS LUNGS, "BE QUIET BOYS. MOM HAS A HEADACHE." Even funnier....he yelled it twice.

Second...
My mother has been keeping our boys while I have been in inservices for the new school year. She called my cell phone during the lunch hour today to ask if our middle Aspie son was due a pill after he ate. The message she left...."Please call me and let me know if he needs a pill after lunch. Just leave the message with Colin." (Colin is the baby.) To make it funnier, our oldest Aspie son (age 14) was home and in the house...but she felt better about leaving the message with the baby. OK...OK.....he is 4 years old.....
This speaks volumes about her expectations of our Aspie sons' abilities.....
You just gotta laugh.....
