Chronicles of an Aspie Mom: Cookies

OK...trying to make "Turkey Cookies" using your hands as templates with 2 Aspie boys and a baby is a TRIP!!!!!

"Humorous Aspie Sayings..." (updated 9.14.13)

We were eating dinner in a local restaurant that has peanuts for the pickin' on the tables. As we were ordering our food, I turned to our oldest and asked, "Whatcha eating?" His answer...."Peanuts." Duh...silly mom.

So our oldest son was stressing about the grilled mushrooms he had just eaten...and out of the back of the car came the voice of our youngest son saying, "Oh relax. The weren't ZOMBIE mushrooms!" Finally a son with a sense of HUMOR....

Son: "Mom...DN and is backwards."
Mom: "What did you say?"
Son: "DN and backwards!"
Mom: (about 5 min later...realizing what was being said)
"DNA is AND backwards"

Is tofu food made out of toes?

(My younger Aspie son...) "I know what it means to be Aspie....it means I should never drink alcoholic beverages."
(Keep thinking that way son....)

My mother was trying to tell someone about her grandsons and Asperger's....
but instead she said,
"You know, my grandsons have
Asparagus Syndrome." HAHAHA!!!

While my middle son was bouncing on the trampoline, I told him to touch his toes...meaning while he jumped...
but he leaned over and touched his toes.
Silly mom!

After my son has been home all day with a stomach virus, I ask...
"How does your tummy feel?
What does he do, he take my hand, places it on his tummy and says...
"I don't know....how does it feel?".....
no, seriously...

Question: "Did you do something special for your Mom's birthday?
Answer: "Yes! We were on time..."

(Spoken to a friskie cat)
Stop being so purr-secutive..."

(Speaking to his teacher on the first day back at school following the Christmas Holiday before any work was done)
"But I told you, my New Year's Resolution is to not get overworked!"

"Hey...this resturant has an hour EVERY DAY when everyone is HAPPY! I want to come here then!"

"I can't have a free dress day tomorrow. I'm a boy so I don't wear dresses."

"Can you really 'rent-a-center'?"

"If cats hate water, why do they love to eat fish?"
